Past to present

”Waterloo” was formed in Stockholm, Sweden 1996 and quickly became known for its fantastic ABBA-sound and the stunning look-alike show they put on. The audience and press all agreed – ”this is the closest to ABBA you'll ever get”.

During 1998 – 2001 Waterloo toured clubs and festivals all around Scandinavia, Belgium and Asia.

2001 - 2008 Waterloo went into collaboration with danish company CSE and the London National Symphony Orchestra and ABBA THE SHOW was born. It told the Story of ABBA. The premiére show was in Skien, Norway September 24th 2001.

This show was followed by hundreds of ABBA THE SHOW performances all over the world, to name but a few:

5 consecutive USA-tours 2002 – 2006 with sold-out shows at the famous Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles (17 000 people), Highland Park in Chicago (20 000 people), Seaside Summer Concert Series in Brooklyn, N.Y. (11 000 people) and many more.
2 tours in Germany. The band performed for 3000 – 10 000 people every night.
4 tours in Spain.
6 tours in Scandinavia.
2 tours in Holland.
Tours in Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.
A sold-out performance at The Royal Albert Hall in London, England september 26th 2007.

In total Waterloo has performed in more than 25 countries all over the world.

During all these tours the show has always consisted of two or three guest artists who once were original members of the ABBA rythm section. Over the years the following ABBA musicians have performed with Waterloo:

Guitarists: Lasse Wellander, Janne Schaffer and Finn Sjöberg
Drummers: Roger Palm and the late Ola Brunkert
Bass players: Mike Watson and Rutger Gunnarsson
Saxophone players: Ulf Andersson and Johan Stengård

It's been a great privilege to have shared the stage with these fantastic legendary musicians!

Present and the future

In 2004 Waterloo signed an exclusive management deal with Swedish production- & managing company FTS Showbusiness AB. Together with FTS, Waterloo is always making plans on how to develop the show and make it better and better.

The past few years have been extremely successful for Waterloo. Part from touring all over the world, the band has also put up eight different Christmas shows in Stockholm (2003), Gothenburg (2004), Ronneby (2005), Västerås (2006), Ystad and Borås (2008), Åby (2009) and Borås (2010).

In October 2007, April 2008 and Oct/Nov 2009 Waterloo did three longer domestic tours that was set up by FTS/HitNöje (-07, -08) and FTS Showbusiness AB (-09).

Part from all the touring Waterloo has done over the years, they have also done hundreds of corporate shows for companies like: Fifa, Pernod Ricard, Korsnäs, SAAB, Choice, Volvo, SVT, IKEA, KTH, Länsförsäkringar, Electrolux, Odin Fonder, Kentaro, Stora Enso and many many more.

Waterloo brings one of the greatest phenomenons in the history of music back to life and will always give audiences all over the world what they're coming to see: "The Best ABBA since ABBA"
